A Spoonful of Frosting

Hello, and welcome to my blog. I'm your typical 19-year-old girl, born and raised in the heart of the prairies. I am a new wife and a proud daughter of my Heavenly Father.

Like any young adult, I have abounding dreams, hopes, and passions, many of which involve a strong sense of wanderlust. Being young, however, I don't have the finances to live out my desire for travel quite yet. This simply makes me all-the-more thankful for the smaller joys in life, such as coffee, cats, and cake! Oh, how I love cake...

When I was a little girl, I always used to pull up a chair next to my mother whenever she was in the kitchen. I loved watching her work her magic and I often asked to help, especially when she was baking. As I grew older I spent less and less time in the kitchen. As many teenage girls do, I developed a very unhealthy relationship with food. With the help of my loving family, my boyfriend (whom is now my wonderful husband!), and a God who loves me unconditionaly, I was able to re-learn my love for food. It wasn't until a couple of years ago that I realized what I was missing out on! My passion for baking, cakes in particular, has grown tremendously ever since. 

Now I am extremely excited to finally start my own blog and share my creations with the world!
